Action for Charity

is the trading name of Action Events Limited, a company owned and managed by Ann Frampton and Gay Bentley-Coleman. The company provides successful fundraising event management for charities. The strength of Action for Charity lies in its two directors, whose background and expertise provide the key ingredients for creating successful events.

Ann and Gay are both ideas people with extensive experience in originating, marketing and managing events. By combining their knowledge and skills they are able to provide a professional, high quality service to charities and their supporters. The service provided by Action for Charity is designed for charities that wish to raise substantial funds but do not want to fully manage and administer an extra fundraising event themselves. This may be because the charity's fundraising staff are already working to capacity or because they do not have the expertise to administer it "in-house".

Action for Charity is currently managing overseas adventure challenge events and UK-based events for both small and large national charities.

Acting as agents for the charity, the company will initiate, plan and market an event; recruit fundraising participants and fully administrate the project throughout. This will include practical management, all office administration including collecting in sponsorship monies and organisation of information meetings and training days. Action for Charity has raised more than £4 million net for charities. Our clients include Samaritans, Barnardo's, ChildLine, Dreams Come True, Children in Crisis, British Heart Foundation, John Grooms, Action Medical Research, Haringey Mencap, Kith & Kids, Womankind Worldwide, Aspire, Regain, Trinity Hospice, The Ellenor Foundation, the Queen Charlotte's Appeal and the British Dyslexia Association.

Events managed by Action for Charity include overseas treks and cycle challenges; UK mountain and triathlon events, fundraising balls, sports award luncheons and UK-based events for national and local charities
