The strength of Action for Charity lies in its two directors, whose background and expertise provide key ingredients for creating successful events, and their dedicated marketing and administration team who recruit adventurous people for the challenges and then fully support them from start to finish.



Directors and event organisers Ann and Gay are both ideas people with extensive experience in originating, marketing and managing events. Ann worked for Barnardo’s for six years and joined the spinal injury charity Aspire as Head of Fundraising in 1996 where the implementation of her fundraising strategy doubled the charity’s fundraising income in just two years. Gay’s background is in newspaper journalism and later public relations before working with the spinal injury charity Aspire where she was part of a small team that took the fundraising income from less than £60,000 per year to more than £2 million.



By combining their knowledge and skills Ann and Gay provide a professional, high quality service to charities that wish to raise substantial funds but do not want to fully manage and administer an event in-house. They head a winning team who look forward to delivering many more years of life-changing events for charities and their supporters.
