Women for Women is heading to Beijing for Professor Robert Winston's 10th women-only cycle ride to raise funds to improve the health of women and babies. The 450kms ride will take place over five days and will be another incredible adventure as the group cycle alongside rivers and through steep gorges, past tiny villages, ancient tombs and historical landmarks experiencing a China few westerners get to sample.
TV presenter Fern Britton will again be taking part in what will be her fifth Women for Women challenge. She is among an amazing group of women who have raised more than £2 million by taking part in Women for Women rides around the world. Funds raised are used to train women scientists and clinicians of the highest calibre to work on major research projects to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions that cause miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertility and cancer. Women for Women is administered by the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecolgoy Trust. Professor Winston is Chairman of both the Trust and Women for Women.
